Cue2 is free and open-source software for cue-based playback of audio, video, text overlays, and show-control messages. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Cue2 is written and maintained by Samuel Moxham. The first public alpha, 0.1.0 StripyHat, was released in 2026, and the current release is 0.1.1 StripyHat. The application is under active development. A great deal of work has gone into making it reliable, but you should still treat it with the caution appropriate to alpha software.
Cue2 application code is released under the MIT License. You are free to use, modify, and redistribute it under those terms. The software is provided as-is, without warranty.
Bundled FFmpeg libraries are distributed under LGPLv2.1 or later. MIDI uses RtMidi (MIT-style). Details are in the licensing notes.
